š£š»Ā Ā My UX/UI Design Story
I began my career path studying graphic design at Pittsburg State University. After taking a web design class, I realized I had way more fun designing websites and apps (and was better at it too). I switched trajectories to focus on web design and development and continued that with a Masterās in the same area. During my Masterās program, I discovered the field of UX. We focused a lot on user-centered design and doing research to get user feedback. Having always had a love for psychology and design, I knew Iād found the perfect career. I just wish Iād known about it sooner. After getting my first job as a UI designer, I wanted to keep moving toward UX/UI, so I completed a User Research BootCamp. Now, I use user data to inform my designs and collaborate often with my Lead UX Designer. Because I understand front-end development, I work well with developers and can see a project through from start to finish.
